Mount Bogong

Located in the Alpine National Park and part of the Victorian Alps of the Great Dividing Range, Mount Bogong is the highest mountain in Victoria. I decided to travel up to Mount Beauty and travel around the area before ski season started, mild weather at this time of year meant I had a good chance of getting a clean view of Mount Bogong at sunset, a lookout on the road between Bright and Mount Beauty offered the perfect vantage point. Driving through Falls Creek only mild snow could be seen on the peaks, driving further out through Omeo Valley and into Mount Hotham there seemed to be a bit more snow action, being careful on the wet road winding through it and on the Bright for the evening.
